What is Taiyaki?

Taiyaki (tie-YAW-kee) is a sweet and crispy fish-shaped waffle, which is a classic treat for street vendors and festivals. They are usually filled with sweet adzuki beans (also called anko or sweet red bean paste) or creamy vanilla custard. We also like to sneak in a few chocolate chips on occasion because... chocolate.

Who We Are

We are lovers of all things dessert! Our founder, Michael Goldman, visited Japan in 2002 and came home in love with taiyaki. That love sat on the back burner for a few years until he discovered that the magic of the internet meant he could have his love again. Love conquers all.
